Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament

Following the tremendous success of the Inaugural Heroes Cup benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, we are thrilled to present the second annual CitiQuiet Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament.  This year's event will take place at Mennen Arena on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 12pm to 6pm. Join us in continuing our commitment to honoring heroes while supporting the remarkable work of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

WHO IS PLAYING?

Building on last year's achievements, this year's tournament will feature eight teams, including the FDNY, NYPD, US Coast Guard, Port Authority Police, New Jersey Police Benevolent Association, New Jersey Fire, Suffolk County Police Department and The National Hockey League. Our unique multibracketed, 4 block tournament will culminate in the crowning of this year’s Heroes Cup Champion.  Be part of the action and witness 11 thrilling games over a six-hour period.

Venue:
Mennen Arena, nestled in Morristown, NJ, is set to host our event. With a seating capacity of 4,403 across three rinks the venue has a rich history of hosting diverse events, from public skates and birthday parties to charity events and professional wrestling. Open 364 days a year, Mennen Arena is a hub of community engagement.

Opening Ceremony: 12:00-12:30pm

Quarterfinals (Hour 2): 1:30-2:30pm • Rink 1: (Main Rink) Game 4: US Coast Guard vs. Port Authority • Rink 2: Idle • Rink 3: Game 5: Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 3

Semifinals and Losers' Bracket (Hour 3): 2:30-3:30pm • Rink 1 (Main Rink): Game 6: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 3 • Rink 2: Game 7: Winner of Game 2 vs. Winner of Game 4 • Rink 3: Game 8: Loser of Game 2 vs. Loser of Game 4 Playoffs for Third, Fifth Places, and Championship

THE MISSION

Since 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. T2T is also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
